The Experts

Dr. Lucia Valmaggia

Dr. Valmaggia is a leading expert on Early Intervention and the use of Immersive Reality (XR) in mental health, serving as Professor at Orygen - Centre for Youth Mental Health, University of Melbourne, Australia. Her work is centered on the prevention and early detection of mental health disorders, particularly psychosis. She has spearheaded the creation of the first service dedicated to the prevention and early detection of psychosis within a prison environment.

Dr. Jan Boehnke

Dr. Boehnke is a leading expert on the interplay between mental and physical health, serving as Reader at the School of Health Sciences, University of Dundee, UK. Utilizing advanced psychometric and statistical methods, he excels in analyzing service, trial, and epidemiological data. With extensive experience in planning evaluations for charities, government bodies, and industry, his approach prioritizes tailored, stakeholder-focused designs that enhance evaluation quality and outcomes.

Dr. Mario Alvarez-Jimenez

Dr. Alvarez-Jimenez is a leading expert in digital mental health, serving as the Chief of Orygen Digital and a Professor at the University of Melbourne. His research focuses on using online and mobile interventions to support youth mental health, particularly in relapse prevention and long-term recovery. He has received multiple awards for his contributions, including the NHMRC Research Excellence Award
